Join the Nathan Hale HS Foundation Board

Are you looking for a way to be involved in your student’s school now that they’re in high school? Being a part of the Nathan Hale High School Foundation is a great way to stay plugged in and to help fund everything from staff collaboration to Writer’s in the Schools and support program continuity through school funding ups and downs.

We are a group of parents, alumni, alumni-parents, staff, and former staff all committed to continuing the grand tradition of supporting the unique community and experience at Nathan Hale High School, and having fun while doing it.

You can be a part of this. As an all-volunteer board, we thrive with community involvement.

Open Positions

What does a board position involve? Broadly, we host fundraising campaigns such as an annual school auction and run an annual capital campaign to raise funds to support the school. We communicate with donors and work with Nathan Hale leadership to provide funding grants to the school to help fund their priorities.

We ask that all board members participate in events and attend 80% of the bi-monthly meetings. But most of all, we ask you to bring your skills, talents, and energy to help our Nathan Hale community thrive.

  • Work with the Principal on funding priorities. Set meeting agendas and prepare for funding votes. Communicate with donors and the board.

    • Back-up and partner with the President.

    • Lead succession planning

    • On deck for next President position

    • Keep minutes for meetings

    • Track and record board votes

  • Bring your ideas and energy to help us support the school, its staff, and students.

  • We’re also looking for members to take on the following:

    • Communications Lead

    • Events Lead

    • Donor Management & Development Lead

    • Advocacy Lead
